Treaty Trade Investor Visa (E Visa)
The E visa category is used to either conduct trade between the United States and
a foreign country (E-1) or to oversee a foreign investment in the United States
(E-2). The E visa can be used by many different types of companies, from one owned
by a single investor to large multinational corporations. The E visa can be used
either by the company’s owners or by their employees, provided they follow the applicable
immigration law. It is important to remember that the E visa is only available if
there is a treaty of commerce, navigation, or bilateral investment between the US
and the foreign country.
