Founded by Mumtaz Wani in 1999, Wani & Associates is a full-service law firm that provides legal representation across a variety of practice areas. We are experts in immigration law, family law, personal injury, bankruptcy and other fields. We are a family-run firm committed to delivering personalized, results-driven legal solutions to individuals and businesses alike. Mr. Wani has 40 years of experience and is supported by a team of associates.
We have offices in Tysons Corner, Virginia and Langley Park, Maryland. Our team speaks Spanish, Urdu, Hindi, Arabic, Punjabi and Kashmiri.

Mumtaz Wani
Founder & Managing Partner
Mumtaz Wani is the founder and managing partner of Wani & Associates, a boutique law firm based in Tyson's Corner, Virginia, specializing in immigration, bankruptcy, personal injury, and family law. With over four decades of extensive legal experience, he is licensed to practice law in Virginia, Maryland, and the High Court of Jammu & Kashmir, and holds a Master of Laws (LLM) from The George Washington University. Mr. Wani is known for his expertise in various legal areas, including international business and complex litigation, and has represented thousands of clients in federal courts, bankruptcy courts, immigration courts, and other legal forums.

Antonio Ochoa
Associate Attorney
Antonio Ochoa III is a seasoned attorney at Wani & Associates with over 4 years of experience in immigration law, business law, and civil litigation. He earned his J.D. from Drexel University and his B.A. from Old Dominion University. Prior to joining Wani & Associates, Antonio worked as a trial lawyer in Philadelphia. He is admitted to practice law in Virginia and Pennsylvania. Antonio is committed to providing practical, results-driven solutions for his clients, with a focus on achieving favorable outcomes in every case.

Muskan Mumtaz
Associate Attorney
Muskan Mumtaz is an attorney at Wani & Associates, P.C. She is a graduate of the University of Virginia School of Law and also holds her undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia. Muskan has experience in both corporate and immigration law. Prior to joining Wani & Associates, Muskan worked at Goodwin Procter in San Francisco and Gunderson Demeter in Austin, Texas. Her legal scholarship has been recognized, with her work being published in the Wilson Journal and the Michigan Journal of History.

Sabrina Soltau
Law Clerk
Sabrina Soltau earned her Bachelor’s degree in International Studies from the University of South Florida before pursuing her Juris Doctor at George Mason University’s Law School. During law school, she explored contemporary international and immigration law topics through her role as the Senior Research Editor for the Mason International Law Journal, President of the Mason Multicultural Alliance, and Vice President of the Muslim Law Student Association. Sabrina’s passion for immigration law and human rights advocacy drives her work, as she is committed to guiding clients through today’s immigration and legal landscape. Sabrina previously interned for the Tampa Public Defender’s Office, Judge Tesche Arkin of Florida’s 13th Judicial Circuit, and at a family law firm. She is fluent in Arabic.

With a background in immigration law, Raquel brings 15 years of experience to her position. Originally from Bolivia, she is fluent in Spanish. Raquel's commitment to providing exceptional legal support reflects her dedication to serving our clients.

Rabbia manages the front desk at Wani & Associates and works on the immigration administrative process. She is a Northern Virginia native and strives to provide clients with excellent service. She speaks Urdu/Hindi and Punjabi.

Sindy is an office assistant at Wani & Associates. In addition to handling office tasks and customer service, she works as a translator for Spanish-speaking clients.

Mrs. Wani graduated from the Department of Law at the University of Kashmir. She helped establish Wani & Associates in 1999 and has assisted in managing the firm since its beginning.

Mujtaba Wani
Advisor
Mujtaba Wani is a Principal at GSV Ventures, a global venture capital firm focused on investing in learning and workforce technology. He previously worked in the private equity group at BlackRock. He holds a B.A. from Yale University, where he placed 3rd in the Yale College Public Speaking Competition. Mujtaba also appeared in Business Insider’s 13 most impressive students at Yale list in 2016. In addition to venture capital and private equity, he is interested in local business and residential real estate.
